So, grad school has been rough. Classes are great, but well, things happened and now I have PTSD.

Sorry for everything that has slipped through the cracks - I’ll be back eventually and take care of them, but no promises on when.

I hope everyone is doing alright.

Sorry I've disappeared for most of the last few years. It's been one of those periods where everything that can go wrong did go wrong, and even when things went right, they went right in a frustratingly slow and time consuming manner.

But I'm back! Though it will take forever to clean out my inbox on here. If you want to keep up with me elsewhere while that's in progress, Dreamwidth is now my other home on the internet, feel free to friend me, just let me know who you are.

Other than that, I'm in the process of setting up a Patreon. If you've ever wanted a chance to tell me what to write, here you go. I will love anybody forever who does this. Tiers are $1 for 200 word fic or poem that you get to prompt me, $5 for a 1000 word story, stories adding up to 1000 words, or six poems that you get to prompt, and $10 to get to choose any two of podfics, 1000 words with of fiction, or six poems - so you can get twelve poems total, a story and six poems, a podfic of a story I write, two podfics of things I've already written, etc.

I'm not expecting a flood of pledges, but honestly, if you want to sign up for a $1 pledge every three months and quit in between, even that would help.

And if there's something else not covered in the above you'd rather give me money for (designing nail art, photographs of my horses, whatever), let me know, we can work something out. If you're not in the US, Patreon says this about donations:

This does not change the amount of work I'll be posting here - if it's publicly available elsewhere on the web already, it will be crossposted here eventually. If I write it for FFM, it'll still be posted here for free. This is just so that I can hopefully make a little money and people can give me prompts they want me to write instead of waiting for me to eventually reach them.

So today I got on DA, was really confused why I had so many more messages, and then realized I got a DD on Summer Habits of Dragons.

I'm still really surprised. I never expected to get my first DD in 2013, was shocked to get a second in 2014, and can't believe I now have my third one. I don't know what to say, really. I love writing, but I have very limited experience or practice in writing classes or anything like that. I'm extremely grateful to everybody who has commented, faved, or otherwise encouraged me to write these past few years.

I now have a DD on both serious and funny works, which I also didn't expect to happen. I mean, I like my sense of humor and relied on it while TAing, but it fails as often as it works. So thanks!

As far as life goes, sorry that I disappeared late last year and then reappeared last month just posting stories. To put it simply, it's been a really rough year or so since I broke my foot last summer.

I'm hoping it gets better, but who knows? I'll hopefully be on here a bit more at least.

Sorry I've not been around. Everything is just not going well. It's my final semester at college (not coping well with this).

My broken foot keeps having how long it will take it to get better upped - currently, hopefully sometime around the New Year if I don't hurt it again. And they were right when they said the boot was screwing up my knee. It still hurts.

And one of my professors just up and quit, so that was great (I seriously had a breakdown in class when they told us it was moving to online. Thankfully the professor taking it over was willing to work with me).

On the bright side, my creative writing class is going well and I'll have stuff to show you all at some point. Including bits and pieces of "The Happy Prince" retold from the swallow's point of view, and why I would choose a powerless character's pov to write from.

I might have published academic works at some point in the future. We'll see. They'd be in Criminal Justice, at least to begin with.

I might try and do NaNo. I know what I want to do (a retelling of "Diamonds and Toads", because again, I like relatively damaged, relatively powerless povs, because I wanted more main characters like that as a kid and I still do as an adult.)
